The base colour for our batts is a Coloured Ryeland / Portland blend of fleece in two different shades. It will result in an open bouncy yarn that is a pleasure to spin.

Batts are over-dyed in small batches using base colour rovings, giving a palette of colours to blend, spin and to create your own unique yarn.

By adding dye to a coloured base this has produced rovings with a depth, warmth and vintage feel to their shades, not available from a pure white roving.

They are also ideal to needle felt.
